Can I go on a cruise if I need a profiling bed and hoist?
Absolutely! Many cruise ships can accommodate profiling beds, hoists, and other essential mobility or care equipment. Through our trusted partner, Mobility at Sea, we can arrange for these items to be delivered directly to your cabin and set up before you board.
All we need is a little advance planning to make sure everything is shipshape. We’ll work with you to understand your needs and ensure all equipment is in place, so you can relax and enjoy your holiday safely and comfortably.
Will the carer share a cabin with me during the cruise?
No – our carers do not share cabins with clients. To maintain professional boundaries and ensure both you and your carer have the privacy and rest needed for a comfortable journey, each carer is provided with their own cabin.
This arrangement also allows our carers to be well-rested and fully focused on delivering the best possible care and support throughout your holiday.
Do you provide care for passengers with dementia or cognitive impairments?
Yes, we do. We understand that passengers with dementia or cognitive impairments have unique needs, and we’re here to provide compassionate, patient, and tailored care throughout your cruise holiday. Our carers are experienced and trained to offer the support and reassurance needed to help you feel safe, comfortable, and valued every step of the way.
We work closely with you and your loved ones to create a care plan that respects your individual needs, ensuring your journey is as enjoyable and worry-free as possible.
Can family members stay involved during the trip?
Absolutely! We understand that family members cruising together may want some time to relax, go swimming, dance, or simply enjoy the ship without worry. Our dedicated companions are here to provide friendly, attentive company for your loved one, ensuring they’re safe and cared for while family members take a well-deserved break. This way, everyone can enjoy their holiday to the fullest.
How far in advance should I book your services?
We recommend booking as early as possible to secure the best accessible cabins and care arrangements—many cruise cabins are booked up to two years in advance. However, don’t let that discourage you! We understand that plans can change, and we’ll do our very best to accommodate your needs even with shorter notice.
